We are excited to invite you to our DanceLab in Stockholm. Are you a professional dancer, actor or performing artist? Then this could be soemthing for you!
Andersson Dance and Joseba Yerro Izaguirre are inviting you to take part in a workshop in Stockholm from 5th – 9th of May.
”The workshop will be based on a movement practice I have been developing for over 5 years now. It is an improvisation method that focuses on building a sensorial and irregular body in order to find a state of totality, playfulness and awareness where anything can be possible. Always in relationship with the music and other bodies in space, I will guide the group into different fantasies, textures and images in order to support both their individual and collective journeys.
The research we will do during the week is open for both professionals in the dance field and actors/performing artists curious to experiment with movement, a shared and safe space for everyone to be able to contribute in the process. We will start the day in the studio with the class as a warm up, then we will continue the research outdoors in Skeppsholmen: we will play with the idea of a body that becomes part of a landscape, maybe able to camouflage or hide itself in it, even if it is just in our imagination. After lunch, we will go back to the studio and focus on bringing the morning investigation indoors. I am curious to see how that experience can affect our dancing and perceptive bodies: how will the level of listening be? What shape will remain in our bodies? What role will the memory of being outdoors play in our dancing? "
